Hi there, i downloaded a trial version of Sony Vegas HD version 10.
Loved it so once the time ran out i purchased a copy of it :)
Only problem is i havetried to install it but i can even get the window up to put in the access code to make it work...
This was happening in the trial version but paid no attention to it, now i have a registered version that i can't use..
Can anyone give me some advice or help?
Cheers

Oh forgot to add
Im using a HP 377a computer
I-7 procces 6 gig ram
I have tried to run it as admin, but still nothing works
just after you install it and it goes to the screen that said accept agreement then i think it goes to a screen to put in the auth. code, which is just blank in the middle and stops there...
i have downloaded another copy from sony and it also does the same thing...

A guess...Are you connected to the internet while trying to run the program?

Do a search in the knowledge base for "application hangs on start". Is that what you are getting at?

Alternatively try...

1. Software not opening

2. Cannot enter serial number

3. Program is not properly installed

If nothing like this works, you can try it the old fashioned way...Uninstall the trial and the bought copy. You may wish to check out the KB on uninstallation of VMS. Install the bought copy and register as appropriate.

One last idea...Uninstall again, use a registry tool such as cccleaner (free) and then try to reinstall.

This should yield something akin to http://www.custcenter.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/4289/kw/uninstall%20vegas/session/L3RpbWUvMTMwMTkyNDA4NS9zaWQvVWZuLTlFcWs%3D How to do a clean install] [/link]
