I installed my new $1000 card and my renders are now twice as long. Is something conflicting? Can Vegas 13 handle it? Or do I need to do a certain setting in Vegas? Please help.
My Card before was a Sapphire Nitro R9 390 (bought over two years ago) I'm rendering an mp4 main concept video 640x480 28 minutes length at 7,000 bps. Old card test render = 11 minutes New card test render = 20 minutes Yes in video settings Geforce RTX is showing.
AMD has traditionally worked better with Vegas than NVIDIA, especially in the older versions. It might just be that your old card works better with VP13. But I am a bit surprised at that difference, as I thought OpenCL support was improving with recent NVIDIA cards.
Is your NVIDIA driver up to date?
Are you seeing any difference in timeline playback smoothness?
Thank you for your time. Yes. My card is up to date. No notice of loss of timeline smoothness. I wonder if this graphic card is too powerful for Vegas 13 and it is bottlenecking. I tried reinstalling it with the drivers and nothing just these longer renders.
