Hello,
i bought Sony Vegas 13 one or two years ago?
Since the first time i tried to use it, i always have the problem that it won't start.

So why i bought a program that will not start? I tried everthing to fix the loading error. Reinstalling and many more, but always the same:

while checking the startup process --> fail.

sometimes i/o error, sometimes directx error. nothing is working.

I wanna use my purchased program!!! , i paid a lot for nothing?

PLEASE HELP.

System here:
Windows 7, 64bit
CPU: AMD FX-6200 Six Core @ 3.80Ghz per Core
RAM: 24 GB
GFX: GeForce GTX 950

Best Regards

All I know is that the GPUs on your video card will not be available for rendering. The scoop I got is that the GPU rendering will not work with NVidia GTX above the 500 series. Try removing card?????? Probably won't work, but I've had much weirdness with Windows & video cards over the last month.

Good Luck

  • Do a Windows Update and get your Win 7 up to date.
  • Try updating your graphics card driver.
  • Try resetting Vegas by holding CTRL+SHIFT while double-clicking on the program's icon to launch it ( https://www.custcenter.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/2744/~/reset-software-to-default-settings ).
  • If you have any codec packs installed, try uninstalling them.
  • Try uninstalling Quicktime if you have it installed.
  • Try cleaning your registry with Ccleaner but take good backups first, and backup your registry when it asks you.
  • Try updating your motherboard's bios and other software you might find on the supplier's site such as Intel chipset software. Take backups of your data first.
  • Ultimately try reinstalling Windows and reinstalling Vegas.
