In fact, it's not at all. %1 GPU usage.

Using the correct rendering NVENC

I have a similar problem with other software - on my old laptop everything works fine.

Latest drivers.

Intel i7-7700 2.8GHz

16 GB RAM

W10 Pro - Build 16299.125

Nvidia GE Force GTX 1060

I had MAJOR problems with Vegas 15 which was fixed with a Nvidia driver update.

I stayed away from the build 300 series. Sounded too buggy, 361 is first upgrade in a long time. I had the same problem as you, vegas used to love my graphics card, but then even though it could see card, it would use pretty much no gpu. So annoyed I stopped using vegas all together.

I upgraded win10 to latest build then got b361 of vegas after positive reviews and now for the first time in months Vegas is using my gpu again. I didn't fix anything, it just worked.

This doesn't help you ofcourse, just thought i'd mention it incase there's others who had stopped using vegas because of this GPU fault. Maybe they could be lucky too.

Try disabling QSV:

Many thanks. No luck. Same as.

I'll try a full W10 update etc...last card to play. Then I'm looking at moving away from Vegas long term. Hopefully things will work.

Nothing has worked - will do full updates on OS and drivers. If no luck, I'll be dropping Vegas long term after 10+ years of faultless use.

Hopefully things will be fine. Will let others know the results.

Many thanks for input.
