Vegas 15 MP4 import Audio Corruption

EEVblog wrote on 1/22/2018, 7:57 PM

Hi

Upgraded from V14 to V15 and found that V15 does not import my MP4 video files from X-Split screen capture properly.
The decoded audio is high pitched and corrupted, I sound like a chipmunk, it is unusable.
Never had a single issue with V14, and the exact same clip works fine in V14.

Sample clip is here:

Anyone else seen this?
Anyone know a fix?

Thanks
Dave.

Downloaded your sample clip. Plays fine in V15 for me.

This X-Split audio issue was fixed in VP15 build 261.

Wow, so they have, last line in the bug fix list.

Will try that, awesome, thanks.

It seems V15 didn't automatically alert me there was an update.

It seems V15 didn't automatically alert me there was an update.

In theory it should if you have Options > Preferences > General > Use Newsfeed to stay informed about VEGAS product updates checked, but it's a bit erratic; it randomly alerted me to the old build 216 a couple of days ago. Otherwise, it's a case of keeping an eye on the News forum here.
