I was editing a video for class. After I was done editing, I hit render as and nothing happened. The video didn’t give me a prompt of how I want to render it, Sony Vegas didn’t crash, just absolutely nothing, as if I didn’t click on it. I restarted Vegas, I restarted my computer and I still had this problem.

OS: Windows 10

GPU:NVIDIA GTX 1060

RAM: 8GB

Available Space: around 350GB

....I hit render as and nothing happened.

I hit Render As at the top-left of Sony Vegas Pro 16 and in the File section of Vegas Pro 16 and nothing happened.

@TheFireKing - Firstly, SONY sold the Vegas lines to MAGIX in 2016. So, no SONY anything 😉. Secondly please make ScreenGrabs of your Process to Render, and post them here. I’m not sure you haven’t missed a crucial step?

What should happen when hitting Render As in VP16 is the opening of the render window something like this:

If you're not having the Render As window open, you may need to uninstall and re-install V16. It's worth a try anyway.

Which build of VP16 do you use?
It could be possible that the window which codec to choose you can't see because it is hidden behind the toolbar or maybe opens on a second screen.
It is not needed to reïnstall the program a simple reset of the program wil give its options like in the first use.
