Vegas 2.0d Not Responding

Vegas keeps locking up on me, and I can't figure out why.
Right now I'm not actually editing any video, I'm editing
titles. I want to make a cool title sequence for my movie,
so in order to do that, I'm making titles swish by the
screen at an incredible rate, and being looped, so it
happens over and over. I have tons of cuts (over 300 in
about 20 seconds) for my titles, on numerous tracks with
various track properties and spacing. So I can understand
that I'm overworking my computer a bit. But still, it
shouldn't CONSTANTLY be not responding. Every other time I
try to play my sequence, it just halts and I have to
restart Vegas (not the computer, thankfully). I cleaned the
media pool and all that, and I turned off all other
programs, but still it happens.
Can anyone please help me? It'd really be appreciated.

My computer is:
Dell 933-Mhz Pentium III
384 MB SDRAM PC 133mhz
32MB NVIDIA TNT2 video card
40GB ATA-66 7200rpm hard drive

Thank you very much.

Oh, and yes, I'm using 2.0d. Perhaps that's the problem,
the new version?

I've had many problems with TNT Nvidia vid cards and
freezes. As a matter of fact I just had a client with a
brand new Athlon 1 gig sys that kept having freezes both in
Vegas and while just idling. First I tossed the MSI mobo
and replaced it with an Asus, when it hung I swapped the
Nvidia with a good old ATI expert 2000 card which runs in
every thing and is THE vid card I spec unless you want dual
head (then it's a Matrox). Look, the Nvidia card is for
gamers and you're in audio, so lose it and you should be
good to go.

:-(
I was kinda hoping for a cheaper solution.
But thanks!
