VEGAS 20

What's wrong with VEGAS 20 ?! The program lags when working, works slowly, one click and 2-3 seconds of lag! I reinstalled the WIN system, GPU drivers. Problem especially with the timeline, the trimmer on the timeline doesn't work smoothly, skips every few frames. press pause and 2-3 seconds of lag before it works.

This is not a weak computer problem.

If everything was working in the past and suddenly no longer works, what has changed in your computer environment? I do know there was a M$ update recently.

Also, what type of footage are you using and what are you doing to it.

@Szczepan-Wtorek Dynamic ram preview max is much to high for your available memory, try to lower to 5 or 10 %.

Also, in io tab set decode to intel if you can, and disable legacy HVENC

For Intel you may have to enable it in bios and plug something into it for it to be usable in Vegas

+1
You have a lot more possibilities for decoding and rendering if you activate the Intel Graphics 630 as a part of your processor in the BIOS.
After you did you have to reset the program as if it is a new installation with other default settings.

Hi
I wanted to bring up the topic again.
I have a problem with Vegas20. Since I bought version 20, I have a problem with the Vegas, not running smoothly on two different computers.

When I open a project, the program work smoothly. the menu expands quickly, the trimmer works smoothly. The problem begins when saving, after pressing CTRL+S the program starts lagging, the trimmer on the timeline lag, jumps every few frames. In general, the whole program lags, click the mouse and lag about 3-4sec.

All the versions of Vegas I bought from 15 onwards worked fine, I never changed anything in the settings and they worked fine. After buying version 20 there was a problem with the program working correctly.

Does anyone have any ideas? I will add that I have this problem on two different computers

Below are the settings and video

1. Laptop

 i7-11370H

RTX 3050

16GB RAM

SSD

2. PC

I9 9900k

RTX 2080

32GB RAM

SSD

Go into Hub explorer and disable the automatic project collections. Happened to me as well.

It really works!
Thanks a lot for your help. You saved me a lot of nerves :)

The project collection stuff obviously is more trouble than it is worth at this point. We will turn the automatic creation of these collections off by default in the next update.
