I know Wayne works directly with the development team, so if he hasn't updated HOS yet, I'm sure an update is right around the corner. I cannot comment on Voukoder, but I imagine it's the same situation, if not already compatible, it won't be long.

Thanks Frosty, I am also sure it probably won't be long. That is not the point of the thread though tbh. For example, recently there were some updates to HOS which included a bit of hoop jumping, especially with the (separate) installation of latest Cumin. So it would be good to know if anyone has actually tested it yet. :-)

As mentioned these are two items for me personally but there are others I believe. I just thought it may be useful to have this info out in the open for any early adopters.

All of my scripts still work fine in the newest version. I'm sure the same is true for HOS.

HOS now supports V20. One caveat. After installing V20, you must re-run the HOS setup file (not a clean install) to ensure that files necessary to support certain scripting tools and frameserver operation are copied to the new V20 folders.

It works with Voukoder though I think you have to copy the files manually. Also MagicYUV, Plural Eyes, etc.

How did you guys get Voukoder working on V20? I reinstalled the Voukoder app and connector but it still only appears as a render option in V19, nowhere to be seen in V20. I also tried manually copying the Voukoder files over from my V19 install, but that didn't work either.

EDIT: Ok I got Voukoder working in V20, it takes three steps:

1) Copy the "FileIO Plug-Ins\voukoderplug" folder from your V19 directory into the V20 directory

2) Copy the "Voukoder-x64.fio2007-config" file from your V19 directory into the V20 directory

3) At this point Voukoder will appear as a render option but it won't actually work. To make it work I had to customize my Voukoder render profile, make some changes, save it out again, then I was able to render successfully with Voukoder in V20.

Odd I didn't have to change render profiles. Voukoder itself went through changes of late and the built-in presets changed a lot.

Right now it isn't fully compatible with Boris Continuum BCC+ FX units; attempting to use the FX Editor crashed Vegas. According to Boris support, it is a Vegas issue, and Vegas are aware of the it and know the fix. So hopefully this issue will be addressed in the first post-release bug-fix update. Although who knows how long we will have to wait for that ...
