Vegas 20 Project & Rendering Settings for 5.1 Audio and 4k (Using HOS)

Hi!

I upgraded today to Vegas Pro 20 and also downloaded the most recent Happy Otter Scripts in the hopes that I can finally render in 4k AND full 5.1 surround. But I can't seem to be able to figure out how to access/apply the HOS AC3 add-on to my render options.

Also, I seem to recall someone stating that the initial Vegas Pro project settings cannot be set to 5.1-- it needs to be initially set to stereo and I have to later assign "busses" and then render using a "Multi-channel mix option". But I could never get this to work...

I will be forever grateful if someone could advise me as to the correct initial project settings and then how to render the final audi/video in 4k with full/true 5.1 surround.

I am able to render glorious, full 4k videos without any issues. It's only the lack of 5.1 surround functionality that is REALLY frustrating me!!! (I miss the good ol' days of using DVD architect and simply merging an AC3 Dolby Digital file with the video track...)

THANKS!!!!!

Andy

I couldn't do it in Vp20 either. ac3 stereo only. The solution is Voukouder and his render to ac3. If you have a 5.1 project, the result will be 5.1. You do not need to set the number of channels. Bitrate only.

Thank you! Also wondering- do I need to use DVD architect? I didn't think it was available anymore?

Also, I want to render in 4k using a simple USB drive- what settings should I use for the maximum quality and audio? Thanks!
