vegas 21 no sound is displayed on tracks

Good afternoon, this problem arose when I updated Vegas 21 to version 300. I really hoped that the new version 315 would fix this! But the problem did not go away. At first I thought the problem was due to too much material, so I added only 8 hours and ran into the same problem - the sound just couldn't be seen on the track! I contacted technical support and was advised to disable "legacy avc decoding". I'd like to point out that this did fix the problem, but another one popped up! If earlier 8 hours were loaded in 5-10 minutes, now one file takes about 3 minutes to load, in the end I have to wait about 2 hours, after which Vegas starts to lag terribly! Will you advise me to download version 208! I would do that, but the problem is that I purchased Vegas 21 on Steam! I have to use Vegas 18, where everything works fine. Maybe someone knows how to fix this problem?

Otherwise potentially convert these files to a type VEGAS 21.315 can work well with. ShutterEncoder could give you basic AVC in a MP4 container conversions or Apple ProRes. https://www.shutterencoder.com/

Otherwise stick with 18 and then upgrade to VP 22 using the discounted pricing and avoid Steam all together.

1. Steam technical support forwards me to the official MAGIX website, I wrote to technical support and was told that it is impossible to download the old version on Steam.
2. I would gladly not buy vegas on Steam! But the fact is that it costs only $67 there and on the official website it costs €199

Please note that this is a user-to-user forum, not Vegas Support, so I don't think that you should be 'requiring' other Vegas Pro users - who are not Vegas staff (nor are the moderators) - to look for a solution about how to get a Steam build 208 version. To achieve that, you would need to continue communications with Steam, the company from which you purchased Vegas Pro.

Steam operates in its own licensing and activation universe that does not interact with MAGIX/Vegas' licensing and activation process. From your post, you have already got an official response about the inability to get an older build of Steam Vegas Pro versions. If you obtained a build 208 build of MAGIX/Vegas' release, then you would have to have a MAGIX/Vegas license to use it - in other words, you would need to buy Vegas Pro 21 from MAGIX.

If your Vegas Pro 18 was purchased from MAGIX (not Steam), then you might be eligible for upgrade pricing ($149 USD on MAGIX's website).
