vegas 21 volume control

I have Vegas 21 Pro build 315 using on Windows 11. All of a sudden, when I try to create a volume line after going to Insert/Remove envelope then clicking volume, no voulme line appears. Please help.

Under VIEW, make sure you have view envelopes enabled.

The "v'" key can also be used to view/hide the volume envelope line(s)..
