Vegas 22 won't run on windows 11 (no solution found)

Hello,

I recently bought Vegas 22 after using v19. But after installing it, and when I try to run it, after the "creating windows" in the starting box the soft won't run. In the tasking manager I see that some subrouines are still running (like "Updater"), and are stacking if I try to run Vegas again.

Here are the things I tried (rebooting the PC and reinstalling Vegas 22 after every possibilities) :

  • Uninstalling Vegas 19 and Vegas 22, then reinstall Vegas 22.
  • Updating Visual C++ like the similar problem which occured in the last september
  • Downgrade Visual C++ / W11 update
  • Uninstall All Visual C++ and let Vegas 22 install their own version by the installer
  • Delete the AppData\Local, Roaming files and the the entries in the register
  • Do everything again all at once

Now I don't know what to do.
FYI I use Windows 11, intel i9-14900K CPU, RX 9070XT GPU

Does anyone have an idea ???

Thank you really much in advance.

@Tixi Have you installed any extensions? Some extensions may cause problems with "Creating Windows". Try to move those extension files out of the extension folder.

Using VEGAS Pro 22 build 248 & VEGAS Pro 21 build 208.

Brand Name: HP VICTUS Laptop

Hello @zzzzzz9125,
I have no extension on it. It's a complete vanilla version of the soft.

Does a reset do anything? https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/forum/faq-how-can-i-reset-vegas-pro-to-default-settings--104646/

What about a newer .net version? https://dotnet.microsoft.com/en-us/download

Beyond that I'd file a support request here as maybe they can see what's blocking it from opening.

@Tixi You could try to disable your AMD video card temporarily to see if this is the culprit. You do not have to physically remove the card, just disable the card in the windows device manager. Connect your monitor to the processor via the motherboard connector (as you have an i9 14900K, this has an iGPU), make sure the iGPU is enabled in BIOS). Restart the PC and see if Vegas starts now correctly. If it does then the AMD Video card (or its drivers is to blame).
