When I ran the V23 trial all formats were available, the trial will add a watermark to all your footage. Would help if you gave some more information about you system and the media you are using.

See my experience; https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/forum/insufficient-render-codecs-options-in-vegas-pro-23--150176/#ca944863

All my system specs are in my signature.

I have tried show all, is the only other option to pay for third-party? Does Vegas only come with one render option?

I can see the watermark. I am using windows 11 pro, new computer so not much on it. I am importing avi and mp4 files. Thank you.

Trial version is 100% limited to 720p with watermark on top.
Under render > customize it showed some of my VP17 higher res-settings, so i selected, which triggered pop up in trial said limit is 720p.
Bought and installed VP23 just now, and show all works fine. Lots of options and render too.  BTW, using Win10Pro.

While using the trial version of V23 I was able to render 4K video.

That pop-up saying 720limit for trial was "can't miss it". So you may be more special than many of us, lol ;) Would love to hear from Magix why 2 very different experiences for VP23 trial/render limit. But 720p is more than enough to make up mind anyway. So i was fine. Just happy all options flooded back when paid version up and running.

I am moving back to Sony Vegas 13, if it ain't broke, don't fix it. I've received no solution here or from Vegas themselves.

For the record:

Brand new computer using: RTX 5060 TI, Win 11, Intel i7, 32GB RAM, 1TB NVME. Up to date divers, re-installed also, selected show all options on render page. Re-installed Vegas too.

If this is locked behind the trial wall then that would explain a lot but apparently it's not. Experiences seem to differ between people.

I will be exploring DaVinci in the future. Thanks to the people who replied.

I am not exactly sure why the trial experiences are different...they shouldn't be in build 302 of VEGAS Pro 23. However, it is true that rendering options are intended to be limited for trial version. We changed the option from a 2 minute project length...now projects can be as long as you want, but rendering is limited to 720p.

Derek, I appreciate you confirming that, I'm using v20 and trying out the v23 trial. However, that "cripple render quality" decision seems penny-wise but pound-foolish to me. It's a limited-time trial anyway, and you could put an obnoxious VEGAS PRO watermark on it if you wanted to even, but how is someone supposed to know what to expect from the software if they can't render it in HD to see? Don't you want your trial users to render out their project in 4K and think, "Wow, that looks amazing, and the software is so much easier to use than the alternatives! This is going to save me so much time, I'm going to buy it!" ?

I just downloaded the trial version. I cut the video and and did some tweaks, it looks like it could come out pretty good. When I export, it looks just like the video before the tweaking. It doesn't show the cut video either. So does the trial version give you a sense of what it will be when I purchase?

@kevin-r5995 Could you show a screenshot of the timeline? Maybe it's an obvious mistake.
