Vegas 4.0 Auto Ripple rules?

The new Auto Ripple features in Vegas 4.0 are pretty cool! It automatically moves the events in all affected tracks when you move/trim one event.

You can choose between "Affected Tracks", "Affected Tracks, Bus Tracks, Markers & Regions" and "All Tracks, Markers & Regions".

But I'm wondering about the rule. How are the "affected tracks" determined? It indeed seems to only move the events in certain tracks. What's the common denominator?

I guess these are too cryptic for anyone to figure out? O:)

Do you mean "affected tracks" or "effected tracks" ? "Affected tracks" are the ones that are , um, affected by an edit (ie those selected). "Effected tracks" are tracks with active effects chains running.

Just to clarify (?!!)

OK, it is "affected tracks". Only the tracks affected by the edit are rippled.

Yes, I meant "affected" not "effected", and the original question was: how are these "affected tracks" determined? How does Vegas know which tracks are affected when you make an edit? What are the rules?

Just because sometimes it seems to work, and sometimes it doesn't.

Select the events - a single event/track by clicking, multiple events/tracks by CTRL-click or SHIFT-click. All selected tracks are affected by the edit.
