p.s. now, if we can get some enhancements to the vidcap app (*.sfvidcap) re: export of the info to other formats... ;)

By the way, EPM, is the downloadable Vegas 4.0 manual changed since the original?

SonicEPM,

That's an impressive bug-fix list. Your support remains excellent. I hope it remains that way.

i've updated to 4.0d and my windows media 9 "3 Mbps Video, 5.1 Surround" template says 640x480 in the description, but 320x240 on the video tab.

They fixed the keyframe selection bug! The angels are singing! Hallelujah!

(Thanks!)

The question is...Is there still latency in their singing?? ;)

"Your support remains excellent. I hope it remains that way."

I sent an e-mail to tech support regarding my Batch Converter bug on Sunday. Yesterday when I got home from work, I had a reply from them.

What's that tell ya?

BTW... sure is different getting an e-mail from SoFo, but the tech's name is followed by Sony Pictures Digital instead of Sonic Foundry.

Re-posting here.

Anybody tried out the keyframe "Copy" "Paste" keyboard shortcuts yet? I'm want to know if the V4 close-down has been rectified.

Grazie

MyST:

Was this the normalizing bug you mentioned on the Soundforge Forum, and what did SoFo/Sony have to say about it? I'm going through a similar process with my CD's --> MP3's

Yeah, it's the same bug. I get an error in Batch Converter when normalizing.
SoFo confirmed that there is a bug with it, but they don't know if they'll correct it.
I understand that it's a matter of priorities, I really do, but I still wish they could resolve it.
If you've seen the other threads on the other forums, you'll see that BC is now given away with Sound Forge(that's how I got it), so the revenue isn't all that great for that app.
I've asked them to see if they can do anything about it none the less, and I encourage anyone else who's run into this problem to do the same.

Does this make me less impressed with SoFo's support... a big NO!
It's part of the software biz. They can't keep plugging away at past software while giving the best support for the current software. All software companies are the same in that respect.

I've had MUCH better service from SoFo than any other company.
