Vegas 4+DVD to 5+DVD upgrade question

I've gone looking through the threads through the last 200 topics, and found some confusing info, so I thought I'd try to get a direct answer:

I've currently got Vegas 4.0 + DVDA1 installed. I ordered the box upgrade to Vegas5+DVDA2.

I also have the full version of Boris Graffiti (which I of course now feel like a fool for having bought six months ago, but hey, what are you gonna do?)

What's the proper procedure for upgrading? I've read that the version that ships on the boxed set is outdated and there's already an update. But also that people have had trouble installing MB Movie Looks and Boris from the download version.

Should I wait until the box gets here (another week) and install from the CD's, and then download the updates? Or should I download the "trial" version, and then just enter the serial numbers when the box gets here? I have a great Vegas 4 setup already, and don't want to rock the boat...

And, for anyone who has the full version Boris Graffiti in Vegas 4, how do you handle the upgrade to Vegas 5 -- do you have to re-install Boris for Vegas 5? Or does Vegas 5 just "know" about it? Does it "play nicely" with the LTD version? I'm assuming there's no point in installing the LTD version (assuming also that the installer is separate).

Thanks!

Barry:

The boxed version shipped is apparently 5.0, whereas the downloaded version is 5.0a. So down load it and and the sctivation codes when you get them.

So far I have had no problems running both 4.0 and 5.0 on my system, though I have to say I haven't tried both running at one.

Can't help on Borix.

Cheers,

Andy
