Vegas 4 is very friendly to 3rd party addons.

I am a programmer. So when I saw Vegas scripting, I decided to play more with it. It appears we now have access to all the wonderful stuff in Vegas through Windows COM/TypeLibrary. Everything, from project settings to every detail on the timeline and media pool.
That means, it is possible now to create EDL import/export, OMF import/export (albeit AVID no longer has OMF specs on its site, and the new buzzword is AAF, which is open-source, and AVID is one of the supporters there).
I don't know if such an export/import utility can be hosted as plugin within Vegas 4 (we'll see when new SDK will come out). But a lot of possibilities is there.

Excellent job. Thanks, SoFo.

PS. Satish, I'm sure you noted this capability already.

I am also a programmer, and would love to have any documentation on the functionality provided by the vegas interface. Does anyone know if/when that is going to be made available?
