Wow, the responses were actually exactly what I anticipated. Well no I'm a PC user and I've owned Vegas 3 and I think it is an amazing program for what it does.
Unfortunately we will be working mostly with 10-bit uncompressed video and I cannot find any documentation on Vegas officially supporting that format.

Then why did you post the link, is there something you want us to know about FCP? Personally, I think the Mac platform is very good, and Apple has done a great job of positioning FCP as an alternative to Avid and Adobe products for professional applications (on the Mac platform). That said, what's FCP 4 got to do with us Vegas users? We've already voted for Vegas so to speak, by buying it, using it and supporting it through this and other user forums. Is there some compelling reason we should pay attention to an app that isn't even available on our platform of choice?
We all win, no matter what we're using. Vegas users did their fair share of gloating when 4 came out(me being one of them), so let FCP users have their fun.
The bottom line is that we're all putting out far better stuff than we could just a couple of years ago. Competition's good.
The only thing I liked better on FCP was the OMF import/export. I wish Vegas had that:(
Why did I switch? Vegas is way easier to use for one thing. For another, being able to keep music and sound effects mp3s on a hard disc and not to have to worry about decompressing or changing sample rates is incredibly convenient. Not having to go into another program for audio editing is another. The incredible difference in cost yet another. I haven't even bothered to keep my FCP up to date since I got into Vegas.
Let's not forget that Vegas 4 (as well as previous versions of Vegas) support all real-time previewing of effects and velocity changes. For whatever reason, you have to render and rerender every time you make even the slightest change in FCP. It's very tedious. I'd prefer Vegas' way of having one whole batch render at the end of the project instead of constantly having to wait every few seconds like in FCP.
