I have to agree. The transfer of selected regions from Vegas to Forge is a sorely missed feature. But this actually is update material, along with the missing mono switch.

There's really been a change at SOFO. You were the first people with almost bullet proof PC music software, but that's been changing for the worse over the last couple of years. Without getting into lengthy conjecture (I just erased 10 lines of this message...): please fix!

Thanks!

DaSoundGuy - I totally agree. Agree also that it's update material, but my thinking was that the next release may be Vegas 4, rather than Vegas 3c.

Sonic Foundry (Peter H?) - please can you comment on this; are you planning on fixing this Vegas > Sound Forge selected regions problem? I'm confused as to whether it's a Sound Forge 6 or Vegas 3 problem. Whichever, can it please be fixed.

The way the two programs work(ed) together is (was) one of the reasons I love working with the software. I'm don't like knocking Sonic Foundry - I've been using their stuff since way back when Sound Forge was their only app. But you're right, they certainly don't <seem> as with it as they used to be. I just hope we're wrong.

And the mono switch, can we have that back too?

Half ignore my above post.

DaSoundGuy - check out http://www.sonicfoundry.com/forums/ShowMessage.asp?ForumID=3&MessageID=131880. Rednroll suggests a fix to our problem that does work.

I think SoFo should have told us this ages ago and/or solved the problem in Forge updates to make the renaming unnecessary.

Anyway, I'm happy.
