Wow! You guys have been busy! Looks like a long list of fixes.

The network render improvements look great. You had mentioned in previous posts that rendering across a network was improved, but I couldn't see this in the release notes. Should we expect any network rendering speed improvments as a result?

Thanks!

Mmh, glad to see there are so much improvements in there. But some of the reported PAL bugs are still in there (still image output size of 786x576 instead of 787x576 and a field order problem for some PAL sources). Also the TrackMotion bug (no presets, no toolbar).

I didn't see anything about showing the presets in pan/crop. Was that fixed?

Could you please post a download link where we, with slow connections, can use our 'download' programs. More often than not I will lose my connection on such a large file.
Thanks,
Barry

Just goto where you download it (in the download section of the site). Then, click on the file. When the download windows pops up, save it somewhere. Next, while he progress windows is open, just use your mouse to select the link. Then copy/paste into whatever you use (I use gozilla).

This will only work for mozilla base browsers. Explore doesn't allow you to highlight the link. :)
I do it all the time!

Good work guys. It fixed a couple of problems I had, and didn't even know I had. Thanks!

2 pass encodes to mpeg-2 for PAL DVD seem to run faster.
I like it already.

The arrow nudge in both Track Motion and Pan/Crop is back!

Thanks.

The "automatic mapping" for network rendering really sounds kool.

Still problems with "Copy and trimmed media with project" I have problem with some trimmed "Avi" file sizes, for example one clip which was only 9 seconds on the timeline was renderd as a 13 gig avi file.

I think this is because I used "Event velocity" to change the speed on that clip.
The only solution for this which I have found is, to render the Clip, which has "velocity envelope" to new track before I trim save my project.
And make sure that there is no clip on the timeline, which has speed shift.
Otherwise Vegas (4/5) saves an extra hour to the trimmed AVI file.

I hope that this problem will be solved soon, because rendering the clip to new track causses a slight lose of sharpness.
And you can't change back the Velocity of that clip because it's renderd : - (.

The problem still remains with Vegas 5.0b ( build 160 )

V_gts,

If you want to save space when you archive, you take the original clip and place it on the timeline and make a region of it. Then render just the loop region as a clip with a new name and then use the new, short clip as the source for your clip with the velocity envelope. That way you keep the option of changin velocity. You can delete the large clip if you want.

Still doesnt fix me breakfast. Damn you Sony! Just kidding. Nice update. Thank you personally Sony for not making us wait nine months for fixes and then charging us an upgrade price like some other companies (ahem...adobe..ahem)

Ah, I just captured some footage in a PAL project. And immediately noticed you fixed the PAL capture bug which prevented storing the captured files when a Minimum Clip Length was set.
Also the display bug which shows the capture lengths is fixed.

Thanks for the work on both of them!
