Vegas 5 bugs?

Although its only been one day, I couldn't help but notice the lack of genuine bug reports for Vegas 5. Obviously there's been a lot of activity on the forum and many folks are running the new version through its paces. Although there are complaints about certain features/functions or lack thereof, so far I've not seen one single bug report. I find this astonishing especially given that it tooks months for Vegas 4 to become really useable for a lot of people! I know some stuff will show up but I think congratulations are in order for the Sony team! ;-)

I've been pounding on V5 for quite a while and it's super solid.
My hats off to the Sony team.

Here's one that is a carry-over from previous versions. Up until recently I had thought it was specific to systems using the TweakUI "X-mouse emulation" (window focus moves with mouse pointer hover - the only way to go !). Although window focus changes, mouse-wheel focus remains in the previous acutually-clicked window.

However, this seems not unique to X-mouse functionality, and mouse-wheel response seems to get stuck in the previous window with stock systems too.

Also, not a bug, but I would like to have seen an additional 'more virulent' version of 'clean media pool', that actually deletes media files not active in the timeline.

Also also, selected events in the timeline being mirror-selected in the media pool.

I have found one when saving "copy all media with project" "trimmed copies"
It simply doesnt trim the copies?

Can you be more specific - are you saying it doesn't trim the actual track files in the media pool or is it copying all of original project media to the new name/folder?

Thanks,

There are a couple of things that concern me...

Occasionally, if I solo an effects bus, and then un-solo it, the other busses will play their associated audio, but the UI doesn't return to normal on those busses (no meters, and the busses are greyed out like it's still in solo mode). Sololing and Un-Soloing again usually takes care of the problem.

Secondly, when doing bus to bus routing, I cannot solo the last bus with any other busses. For example...If I have Kick/Snare on "Bus A", Toms on "Bus B", Overheads/Room on "Buc C", and route them all to "Bus D", I cannot solo "Bus D" with say "Buss E"...it mutes everything. Is this a bug, or is this to prevent some type of loopback possibility?

Thanks.

I was doing a save after completing an album and then i do Copy all media with project and trim copies.
Thing is that i got the project with all files starting from Zero in order to maintian sync so there werea lot of silences.
To get rid of the space they consume i wanted to trim the copies BUT after saving the whole album i noticed that the files in the folder were more or less untrimmed that is they were all the same length.??

This does not seem to happen with regular wave files but these files came from Fruityloops (most of them) and were apparently Acidized on the export from Fruity loops.
I did lots of edits and those files seemed to get trimmed but the ones from Fruity did not so there seems to be a bug with trimming Acidized files.

This is how it works. Soloing is a common 'inclusion" in Vegas at the bus level. What you want is an inherited solo inclusion. Makes sense to me what you want. I will bring it up for discussion.
