Vegas 5+DVD Educational Software

Hello,
I was waiting patiently to purchase the Vegas 5+DVD software after the holiday when I noticed that most, if not all the Vegas5+DVD were removed from the reseller's catalog.
I can only find Vegas 5 standalone and not the +DVD anywhere.

Could someone tell me why the Vegas 5+DVD softwares are removed?
Thank you in advance.

If it is true that the educational version is no longer available I would guess that

Vegas Moviestudio for $99. is a perfect replacement for anyone learning Vegas.

Granted it is a "Lite" version with some features removed, but for thousands of home users it would be sufficient for all of their "home movie" needs.

The upgrade to Vegas5 plus DVDA is rather steep at the moment ($599) but that will change rather soon if Sony wants to provide a reasonable upgrade for its customers.

The competition is getting pretty intense.

Liquid Edition 6 retails for $499 including DVD authoring and TitleDeco and HollywoodFX.

Avid Xpress DV is free for the learning edition and $495 after a $200 rebate for the full version.

The times are changing.
