Vegas 5 Grid 'Still odd'

Hi,
first big up for the new version of vegas (sad for Midi support)...

I still don't get why the grid being set in beats and mesure still act oddly
let me get this straight:
you are in normal zoom seeing mesures 1.1 - 9.1 - 17.1 - 25.1 ...
now you zoom in using mousewheel (5 times to be exact)
and what do you get ? ===> 1.1 - 1.4 - 2.3 - 3.2 - 4.1 ....
really odd way of dividing mesures here...
Could you guys a Sony look into that once and for all...
It's even more bothering when you zoom even more (5 more times)

Hope that was clear enough, I had trouble trying to explain this for the past versions...
Cheers

I get what you mean. Sub-dividers on zoom in are very non-musical. If you could precisely set exactly what dividers appear it would be better.

thank you!!! Ive been trying to put this into words for years, the grid setup is totally messed up when zooming, especially when you are set to measures and beats

Couldn't agree more. It's really annoying not having the first beat as grid marker. When you zoom in the grid should expand to 1/8 and then 1/16 and so on. I also think that the snap works weird too. When I have snap set to 1/16 and have outzoomed so I see several bars at a time, when I place a soundfile it snaps to some other value than 1/16. I have to zoom in to get it to work.
Further more I would be able to set grid to whole bars, and snap to 1/16.
