Vegas 5 Track Motion Questions

This is my first time through Vegas 5 on a video project (used Vegas 4 for a bunch of previous ones), and as a consequence have some Track Motion questions.

I wanted to show two video tracks on an external monitor so I used Track Motion on each track to resize and position each image. This worked fine.

Q1: Is there a way to save these postions for later use (with Vegas 4 you could)?

Now I wanted to go back to a single video track on the external monitor. I am unable to get changes I make to the Track Motion settings to my **top video track** to tke effect. If I open the Track Motion settings and right click, then select Restore Size and Restore Center, the image on the external monitor is unchanged (i.e., it's still the same size and position it was when I had the split screen settings).

Q2: Why can't I change the Track Motion settings on my top video track? BTW, the lower video track does not have this problem (i.e., I can restore the size and center).

Q1: No way as in V4 to save track motion settings. My work around is to create what I want and save the settings as an entire project. Then when needed, re-open the project and copy those settings to my new project.

Q2: Without seeing, this is just a guess but it sounds like you might not have the keyframe timeline at the start. Another words, you make the original change at 0:00. Now you are trying to change back but the keyframe is at a different time therefore you aren't seeing your changes taking effect when you play the track. Make sure the keyframe timeline is at the point you wish to change...or delete the original keyframe that you created.

Others can help more but I'm sure they will need more info.

Good luck.

Regarding Q2, yes it appeared to be that a keyframe got assoicated with the Track Motion.

Deleting this Keyframe corrected the problem.

Thanks!
