Vegas 5 update???

I just bought Vegas 4+DVD Architect. I was told by Sony that I will qualify for a free update if they release it within 30 days of my purchase. It seems like the other software companies offer free updates of up to 60-90 days of purchase of software. I also got it at a Academic Discount since I teach at a school. Will there be a Academic Update???How much are updates for Vegas???

Thats ridiculous--my God if thats the way that Sony is going to behave then we are all in for a hard time. All your other questions are not answerable---I guess like everyone else you will have to wait.

Usually, companies will offer a free upgrade if you buy after the new version is announced.

The new version Vegas 5 was announced...then they pulled it.

If you fit this category, then I would press it.
