Vegas 6.0 Academic Version

I'm currently a student using Vegas Video 4.0. Some of the academic stores have the full version of Vegas 6.0 for $179.00. This is cheaper than the non-Academic upgrade version of $199.00.

The website doesn't mention the academic version being crippled in any way...does anyone know any reason that I shouldn't save $20 and go for the academice version?

It's not crippled in any way. If you can save 20$....do it, and have a nice dinner on the savings. Or buy a few pounds of Starbucks for those late night editing sessions.

Yes. It is the same program (I use it) with Academic Edition tacked onto the case. A real money saver if you qualify, which fortunately, I do. (Oh the benefits of youth!)

I would recommend putting your savings into some of the awesome scripts to help make your editing easier like US2 or Excalibur. Maybe even picking up Spots V6 book when it finally comes out.

OT: Spot, when is your V6 book coming out?
