To try a quick fix, try an uninstall/reinstall of Excalibur. I've run it in build 114 and all appears to be working here. Have not yet installed build 115.

Or do a repair from the Excalibur disc.

Works fine for me on Vegas 6.0b, build 115 with Excalibur 4.2.1.35928.
I am on Win2K, if that makes any difference. I didn't need to do anything special.

I tried a uninstall/reinstall of 4.2 and the problem persists. Essentially, tabs become untabbed sometimes when I click on them (maybe 1 out of 3 times). They appear as small square windows that I can either drag up to the tab bar again or close where they disappear until I make them appear as tabs again from the tools menu. It doesn't happen all the time though which is interesting.

uninstall/reinstall worked for me. though even after script menu scan, I've now got two excaliber icons - one dead- exception error!, and one not.

No problems with Excalibur 4.2.1.35928 and Win XP SP2.

I think I found the problem. Excalibur thinks I'm clicking and dragging the tab instead of just clicking on it. I click on the tab and it takes a second or so to switch screens. I must be moving slightly as I'm clicking. Reducing the sensitivity for the click and drag of the tab in Excalibur would help. Is this possible? If not I'll just have to be more careful. Thanks for the prompt reply Edward!

Technically, that's a "feature". You can actually undock the window and even create your own docks. There are a few problems if you create multiple undocked windows and exit and reopen Excalibur so it is generally recommended that you only temporarily undock. To redock, just track it back to the tab bar. You can also simply close the undocked window and when you re-open that window it will be docked.
