Vegas 6 and Vegas 7 - Can they coexist?

Hi,
I am about to take the plunge and install V7 on the same machine as V6. I understand from a previous post that there is no such thing as an upgrade, and that V7 will install as brand new software.

Thus I assume V7 will create its own folder structure and not trample on any of the V6 settings...

What are the best practices to ensure safe co-existence of V6 and V7?

What about Media Manager? Will V7 use the same library or will I need to manually point V7 to my old V6 media library?

Thanks, in advance.

Overall, yes they coexist. Double check by searching this forum for threads as I think it has been discussed. I don't think any of your V 6 settings will be present in V 7, but V 7 definitely will not step on V 6. Don't know about media manager (yet)

I have V6 and V7 running concurrently.

I have not been aware of any MM difficulties.

Be aware that you CAN NOT open a V7 in V6. But V6 projects WILL open in V7.

What I do do after an install is to reboot the PC at least once to establish the new install.

Yes, Vegas 6 and 7 can coexist. Vegas 7 should not damage anything in Vegas 6.
