Yes, I downloaded DVDA 3 and installed. It gives you the option of inserting a serial number or running the Demo. Once in the program, you can not "Master" a DVD until you "Buy Now". If you click on "Buy Now", you are taken to a web page (if selected) that shows the full price of $749 for download and $799 for a hard copy.

I also installed Vegas 6...no option to view a Demo is offered, though. Need a serial number to see anything.

Wow. Vegas 5 was only 40 some megabyte and this one is over 90. What happened? This better be good.

Hopefully there will be a demo version or at least instructions on how to run in demo mode.

I tried my V5 serial number but that is rejected too.

There is no chance I will upgrade if I am unable to demo it first.

Thanks for the trial version link. I swear I didn't see it when I looked at the FTP site
a few minutes ago.

What is the difference between "vegas 60.exe" and "vegas 60-trial.exe"?

In the past every version worked both as trial and as full version (after activation with a SN off course).

well, with the vegas60.exe, you HAVE to enter a serial number or you cannot run the program.

Well I was able to run the demo. Unfortunately it looks like there is really nothing
for us audio-only users. VST is nice, but I'm already doing that seamlessly with
Directixer. Folder tracks, freeze, and a tempo map would be useful to me, but they
are not there. Can anybody convince me there are new audio features that justify
a $199 upgrade?

I absolutely love Vegas, but I think I'll have to pass on this upgrade for now :-(

Media Manager happened. Same happened to Acid Pro 5.
