Just curious,, I am a holdout who had nothing but trouble when 6 first came out,,, been quite a while now, I'm still using 5 and want to know what I'm missing and how my edits will be better if i reload 6.
Note: I don't use vegas for any 3d stuff.
Thanks in advance for any and all info.
Do you ever do contract work with other ppl?
I've just sent my .veg files to clients and they can just drop it into the T/L
Then there's the 3D motion that you don't use. Being able to run 3D motion as a nested project saves MASSIVE time when rendering long projects with limted 3D motion.
I'm not as impressed with the jump from Vegas 4 to Vegas 6 as I am with the jump from DVDA to DVDA3. Now THAT'S impressive to me. I'm a casual user, so some of the workflow improvements seem like more work to learn than just plodding through the old fashioned way. I'm sure there are some features I'll never even realize are there. The next jump better be REALLY impressive. It was tough enough to convince the Mrs. that the latest upgrade was a necessity.
Nested vegs are great. They open up a lot of possibilities for creativity.
I've not had significant problems with 6 vs. v5 or v4. Until my switch to HDV, I've never pushed the software like others people on this board, though.
