Vegas 6 render difficulty

This is one I'm still playing with and behaviour is somewhat inconsistent. I've got a 50i (although actually 25P) HDV project 52 minutes long built of 3 veg files (a +vegb+vegc). Each section renders on its own without difficulty, but I finally assembled all sections together to do a draft render to PAL SD widescreen. The render hung a little into the 3rd section. I found an error in section 1 (just a clip that should have been deleted) and tried a new assembly and that render also hung in section 3, but a bit further in. While generally exploring the timeline for possible problems I had parts of a clip in section 3 go offline (just some frames in a clip -- went crimson on timeline and preview). Was this a cineform 3.03 type issue? I restored the machine back to v3.00 and tried a new render, but this time it failed for "low memory". So I've undid the system restore and am presently rendering section 3 alone new track (following the vicmilt methodology set out in a much earlier thread). Any ideas or comments welcome.

Serena,
I've experienced the same on a couple of occasions with 60i media as well, so I don't think it's 50i/60i related.
The only fix I found, and it's more of a "let's see if this works" was to:
1. Close Vegas
2. Run System Mechanic
3. Run Enditall
4. Restart Vegas and project.

And it's worked every time.
I'm assuming you're using 6d/210?

Thanks DSE, I'll give that a try. Yes, 6d/210
