just downloaded demo (ok, i'll give it a whirl...)

a. have no

Plug-in: 'Sony Track Noise Gate' failed to load. Please make sure the plug-in is properly installed.
Plug-in: 'Sony Track EQ' failed to load. Please make sure the plug-in is properly installed.
Plug-in: 'Sony Track Compressor' failed to load. Please make sure the plug-in is properly installed.

b. in about / components:

MPEG
mcplug.dll version: Not loaded
AC3
ac3plug.dll version: Not loaded

what's going on?

all suggestions most welcome,

I think MPEG and AC3 is not part of the demo, due to license issues... but I can be wrong.

didn't read about it anywhere, and a friend downloaded 7, liked it, and apparently registered it via net without additional downloads....

have to say that all seems to be working ok. can render out mpg2's.....

are these plugins shared with 6 - though i can't see and named 'sony' plugins under sony, just fx?

Those features are in the demo download, but they're not activated or available until the software is registered with a purchased serial number.
