Vegas 7 capturing HDV: Video+Audio over Firewire?

Okay, I've been trying to further educate myself about HDV since I'm thinking about moving up to a Canon HV20 to use with Vegas 7. My question is this...when using firewire to capture HDV, is the audio captured along with the video over the firewire?

I ask, because I've read elsewhere online that only the video can be captured and not the audio...which seems really confusing to me. So what's the real story, will I be able to pull in both the video and audio in Vegas 7 with firewire from an HV20?

Yes, just like DV capture, HDV capture brings in both video and audio.

Search this board for Canon HV20, some folks have issues capturing and some don't.
