vegas 7 dual display

can't get vegas to use my other display as a video monitor it works in vegas 6.
when I use the preview on second display they both show the video.
so far it's big let down.
hopefully dvd arch. is better.

Both of your monitors show the video? Something is not correct in your setup, or how your vid card is set up. Running V7 on several systems for several months, this feature works flawlessly on all of them, including laptops running secondary/external monitor.
maybe provide some additional info?

maybe your gfx card is set to "clone" <ie duplicate the screen wher as the priamry display is set to montiro 2... ive seen that happen a couple of times in nvidia cards.. especially laptops..

has v7 actually been launched officially??

how can it work fine in vegas 6 and when I open it up in 7 it does both?
card is a nvidia geforce 7300gs

Ok I fixed the problem had to update my drivers for the video card wierd how it worked fine in vegas 6 all this time.

ive got the same card in my laptop.... 256mb thingy.. jsut got the bugger so im not too sure with V7 or why..

hmm... didnt know it needed an updated driver though..

Same problem here. Never had a problem with dual displays in V6 but V7 shows the preview on both the internal LCD and the secondary display. My setup has worked flawlessly in V6 with 3 monitors.

Toshiba Qosmio 600 Nvidia go 7300 using component out to JVC component CRT and internal laptop monitor.

Updated driver to latest but that did not fix it. I can just drag the preview window to the secondary display and resize it to fit but thats less than what I had hoped for.
