Vegas 8.0c..Zoom toolbar missing..why?

I have Vegas 8.0c on my laptop as well as my desktop, although I rarely use it on the laptop. Today I did, but noticed that there is a solid black bar where the zoom tool - zoom out time - and zoom in time are supposed to be. There is also a solid black bar below the Master volume control that isn't supposed to be there.

I reinstalled Vegas but it's still there.

Any ideas?

Can you post a screenshot?
Did you de-install and then re-install Vegas.
Try View/Windows Layouts/Load Default

My desktop Windows Theme is the generic default blue theme.

I dd notice that if I hover over the areas on the black bar where the zoom controls are supposed to be they are actually there as indicated by a pop-up balloon. I just can't see them.

Awesome, xberk. That did it. I guess when I reinstalled it it copied over the anomaly to the new install, but Load Default worked like a charm.

The problem is back again on my laptop. Black bar where zoom bar should be. Black bar under master audio levels window.

View / Window Layouts / Load Default Layout does not work this time.

First major bug I have had since I installed Vegas 8.0c

Anyone have any ideas?

In preferences turn off "Windows XP Theme support." (Or something like that, I'm posting this from my phone.)
