Vegas 8, New Computer purchase/build

I'm interested in picking up the V8 for my home studio.

Right now I am primarily a VO/audio production based guy, so my current computer has been fine for that game.

With the expansion into V8 capabilities, I'd like to buy/build a pc that can maximize what V8 (or any of the Sony Software) can offer.

Suggestions?

You can build a Quad Core Q6600 for about $2K. That's what I would recommend.

if you don't need a monitor, mouse, kb, etc... I'm pretty sure you can build a Q6600 for something more along the lines of $1100 (at least that's what it's pricing up for me at).
