Vegas 9.0 Serial Number "invalid"

Even though its old, Vegas Movie Studio 9.0 2009.. I have the original disc and the documentation paper with the Serial Number (Which is authentic and I've used it for years on my old laptop). After installing, it prompted me for my serial/registration. Entered it correctly...and then the error message is stuck on telling me that my serial number entered is invalid and it must start with 3 specific letters firsts so there's clearly something not here.

It will take a while, but contact Sony Support and perhaps they will have a fix for that version and windows 10. Did you install as administrator?

In the black title bar at the top of this web page, click the "My Account" option and then "My Software". If you registered the software, this will let you verify that you are entering the correct number. The numbers are specific to each version of software -- Movie Studio 8 and Movie Studio 9 would have different serial numbers. Also, Movie Studio has its serial number and DVD Arch. Studio has its own serial number.
