vegas 9.0B and canon T2i?

I own the T2i and vegas 9.0B. Will vegas work with the native raw >mov 1920 by 1080 files? Yes and no. I seem to get intermittent results. When I bring in more than 35 clips,it crashes! Sometimes the timeline shows red even when before it showed up ok. I also tried to convert the raw files to Lazarith lossless codec(free online). This worked great until my freeware program Prism stopped working with this codec. I am confused, is there an upgrade to vegas 9.0B that would make these raw >mov files work/edit more smoothly?

Please read this:

Ivan says that Platinum 10 is more stable, so you might want to install the trial version of Platinum 10 too, in parallel, in order to test it. But if you get the same crashes (which are to be expected since so far, Vegas' Quicktime support was bad), then you must follow my tutorial linked above.
