This isn't connecting for me.
TWAIN is a scanner driver. Doesn't relate to Vegas afaik.
You could go to your Sony Setup folder, run the .msi, and do a repair installation.
Or you could reinstall your scanner drivers.

Thanks for the idea. Something is not right. No Vegas 9.0 in the Sony Set Up folder. Time to do a disk restore and try redownloading the trial.

I've tried twice now with the same results. Neither install has created folders in Sony Setup. Would someone confirm if they have a vegas90.msi or similar. I have one for vegas 8 but not for the trial of version 9.

Thanks,

Kit

Sorry, I guess V9 doesn't create a setup folder the same way other versions do.
Just try reinstalling from the original .exe

Thanks, I've tried three times now but getting this error message about twain each time. Vegas ( starts without this error message so something must be peculiar to version 9.

Thanks, you nailed it. A disabled windows image acquisition service was the problem. I wonder why I disabled it and whether there are any security implications in setting it to manual.

On my side I didn't wonder. It's been a long time I disable most of unsafe/useless/stinky features of Windows. It turns this one will bite now.

So have you left it disabled and given up on version 9 or have you set it to manual?

Thanks,

Kit

It is set to manual and that's ok.

Regarding video, I am almost clueless but for IT I would rate myself as knowledgeable.

Thank you ;^)
