Similar that for correct work Vegas 9 it is necessary to install all versions Microsoft.NET Framework - since 1.0 and to 3.5. Yesterday has install Microsoft.NET Framework 3.5 and 1.1 with additions and never Vegas 9 "lost" video though earlier at wiring of each plot of video "was lost".
Your opinions?

P.S. Vegas 8 demanded only Microsoft.NET Framework 3.0

Not exactly certain what you mean here but Microsofts .NET is fully backwards compatible. I run a few apps that use different versions of it (nothing to do with video) and it all just works. In fact it works so well it's hard to believe it's from Microsoft :)

What I mean here is if you have one app that wants 2.0 and one that wants 3.5 so long as you have 2.0 installed and 3.5 installed both applications will work just fine.

That's because 3.5 isn't a replacement for 2 or 1 or anything. It's not so much backward-compatible as it is just extra stuff added to the provious versions rather than replacing what was already there. (although I'm sure bug-fixes for previous versions are tucked in there, too.)
