I received my HD2000 just before a cruise to Alaska. I'm really impressed - can do marvelous slo-mo from its native 60 fps progressive - in Vegas. I paid only $531 on ebay, with U.S. warrantee/NTSC. The vendor threw in a tiny tripod that requires one to bend the legs to change vertical inclination. Looked like a toy, but it fit in my pants pocket with the camera. Proved to be so useful that I never lugged my Manfrotto out of my suitcase - I almost always could find a hand rail or other surface on which to rest the camera.

I can do crude editing in native format, but often convert to PICvideo for easier editing (any green-screen chromakey work will crash Vegas in short order). Also have experimented with Cineform a little (after installing NeoScene). I agree that putting too many MP4s on the TL from this cam will crash Vegas, but problem solved with conversion - all done in Vegas. I'm a happy Vegas user.
