Vegas 9 render quality problems

G'day Everyone,

I'm having a few problems rendering my videos to either good quality or just rendering in general. Sorry if I go on a little with the details but hopefully someone will understand and be able to help.

Firstly I’ve put together a video for a client and the video contains pictures and pictures with text. So naturally when finished the video, I select the whole video and go make video - burn to DVD - select the location and render it off. Then send it to Architect to make the menu system. The problem is Vegas is not rendering the video in a good enough quality - the pictures and especially the text within the pictures is blurry and non-readable. The picture are a large size and of high resolution. I've never had problems such as this in the past with Vegas 7. Is there setting I should be changing?

After the 'make DVD' function was doing this I decided to select the video and go to 'render' and then render the video file off as a WMV file at 100% and selected the highest image size (High definition (1440x1080). When I’ve done just a small section of the video as this the video comes out perfect with the pictures and text appearing sharp and easy to read. However when I try doing the whole video (which is only about a minute and a half long) Vegas either locks up or an error appears which then shuts down Vegas. The error sometime says “An Error occurred while creating the media file. The reason for the error could not be determined” or an error that contains a lot of random details…either way it just doesn’t want to render.
Anyone have any ideas on this?

Any help would be greatly appreciated :)
Matt
