Vegas 9 sees t2i files as interlaced?

Hello All -

I have a Canon T2i (550D) and have some clips shot in 1920x1080, which according to everything I've read should be progressive, not interlaced.

But, when I use "match media settings" to set project properties in Vegas 9.0e the field order always comes up as Upper field first. Putting files on the timeline and checking properties yields the same. To make sure it's not something with my camera settings, I've checked this with sample T2i clips from the web professing to be progressive, and same thing.

Thanks for any thoughts or direction on why this might be!

Can you upload a short clip of the original camera footage somewhere?

Force Vegas to see them as progressive then. Go the media bin, select one, Properties, change the field order to progressive and hit the SAVE icon.

Yes, will do (and have done)...

Just was curious why Vegas might report as interlaced when Media Info, etc. show progressive...
