Vegas 9 will not start on reinstall

My Vegas 9 was apparently corrupted when I installed the Vegas 11 Demo which crashed my computer. I unistalled Vegas 11 and Vegas 9 and reinstalled Vegas 9 twice. The computer indicates Vegas 9 has been successfully reinstalled, however, instead of Vegas 9 starting , I get a notice that my Vegas 9 Demo from several years ago has expired. What now?

Try running Advanced System Care from Iobit. It's a free program that can fix corruptions in your registry as well as remove unnecessary tmp files.

I swear by it and use it every week!

Dear Steve, Thanks for your response. I did obtain Advanced System Care and ran it before reinstalling Vegas 9. That has left me with the pickel I am now in. I'll try again and see if that solved the problem.

Problem solved. The demo expiration which kept coming up when I tried to start Vegas after a reinstall, offered the opportunity to buy Vegas anew. Although I already owned it, I decided to see what happened if I followed the repurchase string. Only then did it offer the chance to reenter my registration number. Even that didn't do the trick initially. I had to go to a suggested support site and follow detailed instructions on removing an old key and installing a new one. Looks like it's working now.
