happily (well, as happily as possible with 9) rendering a sony mp4 (can't render 720 in mainconcept at all - can in 8?), when vegas just either disappears, or crashes with error reporting - NOT at the same place every time either

interestingly enough the same tl renders to everything else; m2t, mxf, dvd, etc., without problem.

not sure it's worth a ticket - they've probably got enough headaches at the moment......

just thought i share my grief / anger / melacholia

If you're using 9.0 and use 'two-pass' for the render, it's a bug and is fixed in 9.0a.

I think its worth a ticket, especially since you can repeat it. I have had vegas 8.0c dissapear on me but could never repeat it,, most recently 2 weeks ago at 3 in the morning whle prerendering a 10 second segment. With a 9am video showing, talk about a wake up call, opened back up as if nothing happenened and pretty sure I didn't lose anything

Intersting. I just used 9.0a to make a test render of both Sony and Mainconcept 720p AVC files from a RED 4k file. Worked like a charm.
