Vegas Affects still saying demo version after upgrading.

Vidguy wrote on 4/24/2021, 3:24 PM

Hi I already owned Vegas Pro 18 then I upgraded to Vegas Post Suite. Downloaded and installed everything except Vegas Pro 18 since I already have it but switched to new serial number. In fact I did try to install the latest download of vegas pro 18 but it said I already had it so did not need to install it. Problem is Vegas Effects 2.3.11116.40737 still says "demo version' in the Licensed to section. Also in Vegas Pro 18 on preview of video. I have windows 10 64 bit. A very fast pc so that is not the problem. Its the activation of Vegas effects that puzzles me. Any thoughts?

Try add video in VEGAS Pro, then right click on that event and select 'Edit in VEGAS Effects'. This should trigger the activation.

I already tried that with no success. Hmmm. Thanks though for the tip.

@Vidguy Do you have any 3rd party plug-ins installed? NewBlue plug-ins were particularly a problem for me when I tried to activate mine. I got mine working by moving them out of ‘C:\Program Files\Common Files\OFX\Plugins’ and putting them into ‘C:\Program Files\VEGAS\VEGAS Pro18.0\OFX Video Plug-ins’.

I just tried it so far it didn't change anything. * Update just fixed it.. I logged into my other user account and that allowed the Post and Image part of the program to connect. Thanks! for trying to help.
