Vegas and Spicemaster versus After Effects/Combustion

Hi,

OK, I just want to clarify something. I gather that SpiceMaster works seamlessly
with Vegas(?) What about After Effects or Combustion? Or Boris, for that matter?
Do I have to edit a project and then render it in Vegas and THEN open the finished
project in one of the other apps to do effects work? Just trying to get a quick
answer on this if possible, as I recently got both Boris and AE and am wondering
how it will all work? Thanks <M>

for max quality you'll have to render to uncompressed avi from vegas, then do stuff with the video in your FX packages. you could render to DV instead if you are short on space, but if you got the bucks for those packages you should spring for more hard drives and do everything uncompressed.

there is no project compatability with those packages. you just have to render whenever you want to go back and forth.
