Vegas cannot find edited clips

After I have edited video clips, some times when I want to re-edit them it says it can't find them in the file I put them in, yet they are there because I can play them on the media player.

SAVE the project after you have finished editing.

To re-edit OPEN the project rather than loading your finished file.
