Vegas Capture is not showing my monitor.

MARTIN-RIVERA wrote on 9/29/2023, 11:07 PM

For some reason, my monitor is not showing up when I select Vegas Capture.

All the tutorials I am seeing show the actual monitor where I have labeled not showing monitor in yellow letters.

I am not sure what else I can do to show my monitor on that screen. I was able to make a video and it shows my face from the computer's camera and the audio but I cannot figure out how to show my screen.

@MARTIN-RIVERA, this is a known issue for some machines. I assume you're using an AMD card? It does work with my nVidia card.

Thanks for replying,
This is the card that came with my computer.
is there a fix for this?

Use some other program? Many people use OBS. I, personally, am using Captivate from NewBlue.

Jetdv

Thanks for the advice, but wish there was a solution within this program. I just upgraded from Vegas 15 because I couldn’t do screen capture. And now that I paid to upgrade to this program I have to purchase another program. Sorry. It’s frustrating!

OBS is free. https://obsproject.com/

Capture in VEGAS just doesn't work with certain computers- I really recommend doing a trial before paying for a new version. It also doesn't work for me but I have Stream from VEGAS Pro 20 that works fine.

Thank you, I actually downloaded the program to my other computer that does not have an AMD card and it worked. But the letters are very blurry. SMH.

Does anyone know a solution to a blurry screen?
I got screen capture to work on my other pc but the letter look very blurry.

Here's what a captured project looks like in VEGAS...

on your preview screen, it looks like you've zoomed way in. But even if I zoom in using Pan/Crop, here's what it looks like:

@MARTIN-RIVERA

What is your Display resolution?

With your captured video on the Vegas Pro timeline, right + click on the video and find the properties of the captured event.

Set Preview to Best/Full.

While you're there Save a Snapshot to File.

Big Hint: If your preview window (in my case 960x540) is less than your project pixel dimensions (in my case 2560x1440) the preview will look "blurry". Save a Snapshot to File copies at the project pixel dimensions and should be clear as a bell at Best/Full.

PS

I appreciate the fact that you own a camera, but PrintScren and Control+V into Paint works way better. Especially, when your issue is "blurry".

Thank you John_dennis. I’ll be back home later tonight. I’ll update you then. I appreciate your help.

John_Dennis my monitor only goes up to 1920 X 1080.
I noticed when I scale up to 150 it starts looking a little better. When I scale to 200 it looks even better but the whole screen is way too big and it’s a lot harder to work.
